I love the smell of used books - partly because I could only afford used books before. Now that I'm older (but none richer), the habit of buying used books stuck. There's nothing like poring through pages of a book and imagining sharing the same experience with some stranger who had previously owned it.
I'm an eclectic reader. I read anything that catches my fancy. To determine whether or not I should own a certain book, I usually read the first few pages rather than reading the blurb or the summary at the back. This system has never failed me. « less
