Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

This book seemed more fast paced than the others, and with the competition going on, it was hard not to stay interested. This book seemed more fast paced than the others, and with the competition going on, it was hard not to stay interested. (Though in the back of my head, i knew harry would win, as most protagonists do) Nevertheless, it was very entertaining seeing him travel that path to get there. We're always talking about how many symbols of literature are in harry potter, and i think this book has alot of them. This is definitely the end of childhood for Harry, and i think things will only get dimmer from this point on.

The fifth installment in the series introduces quite a few new characters and a great portion of the story line. With some grey areas and monotone chapters, the book still held up the reputation set by the books that prefaced it. A rumor that Voldemort has returned has everyone at Hogwarts all stirred up. Meanwhile, a very annoying character is introduced: Professor Umbridge. This is also the book in which Dumbledore's Army is formed, which is one of my favorite events to read about. Over all, the fifth book holds up well.

    Blaze

I thought that this was the best out of the series because of how it goes. I liked the way that it ended I just wish that it would have gotten there quicker instead of adding in a bunch of extra things that took away from the main idea and storyline.

    Simmer

I liked this book a little bit better than the first one just because it was easier to follow and the people carried on from the first book doing what they were in the first one.

Rick has finallly been reunited with his wife and son. They were on the outside of the city, with a bog group of survivors. Along with his wife and child, his fellow partner was there as well watching over them for him. Rick is worried that his partner in the police force, Shane, might have been having an affair with his wife Lory. Basically there is too much drama going on than there needs to be while trying to survive a zombie apocalypse

On the 85th day he hooks a huge marlin but cannot kill the fish until the 4th day he is out at sea which would be the 88th day of the season, when the marlin finally tires . The blood from the marlin leaves a trail that sharks follow. Already exhausted, he has trouble fighting off the sharks. If you want to know what happens to Santiago and his precious fish, you'll have to read the book.

    The Book of General Ignorance

This book has a lot of questions that people don't know an answer or the actual answer to. An example is how many legs does a centipede have? Not one hundred, or at least one has never been found to have exactly that many. They have been ranged to have 15-191 legs with 96 being the closest to 100. It has over 200 questions of which I bet at least 15% of the world's population wouldn't be able to answer 15 of them correctly therefore it is general ignorance as said by the title of the book.

The Geeks' Guide to World Domination

The Geeks' Guide to World Domination is a book filled with geeky facts and guides like how to play Sudoku and chess strategies. It also has a few mini stories inside to go along with all the guides. I think this book is very ironic because it has almost nothing to do with world domination.
