Hello Michael, I read Shelfari has you as a member with Joel Rosenberg’s The Last Jihad” and would like to recommend another Christian Thriller, "The Diaries of Pontius Pilate.” It draws upon the author’s military background and has great reviews. “Diaries” is not a vanity or self-pub book, but is published by Trestle Press, a small independent press outside of Philadelphia under its imprint, My Helping Hands Press, that gave a Christian novel a chance. Full disclosure - I wrote it and hope you’ll give it a chance - on Kindle, Paperback, Nook or Kobo.
Best wishes, Joe Lewis www.josephmaxlewis.com
Daniel Craig is the only Bond for me. :) I liked QoS and CR, though I could've done without the abundance of sensuality in the latter.
Lincoln: Vampire Hunter looks like a fun action film... have you read the book? I hear it's pretty awesome. I believe it's by the same author who wrote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Not sure yet. I'm thinking about writing a thesis on The Hunger Games controversy, but I may choose something different. Still going through my options. :)
The new James Bond film looks terrific, even though I'm not the biggest fan of the franchise. I'm more of a Jason Bourne guy. :) Expendables 2 looks like a fun action extravaganza. Have you seen the first one? I heard mixed reviews.
Hey dude! Good to hear from you! :D
Well, right now my Dad, younger brother, and I are working on painting the exterior of our house... in 90 degree heat. :) We're hoping to finish the job over the weekend, but it's amazing how time flies when you're trying to get something done. We haven't even started the bulk of the work and it's three o' clock already...
I've got lots of reading to do, of course. I'll have a blog post up tomorrow listing my current reads. And since this is my senior year in high school, I'll probably start doing some research for a senior thesis... should be fun. :)
I'm also extremely excited for The Dark Knight Rises... are you planning to see it? Nolan is one of my favorite directors, so I'm hoping he pulls this one off with the same amount of brilliance he gave the first two films.
Haha! No worries - my computer is stupid sometimes, too. :)
Glad to hear you enjoyed I Am Legend! The 2007 film is one of my favorite Sci-Fi flicks, though I hear the story differs from the book. You'd love Wages of Spin - it's terrific.
Day of the Triffids is bloody brilliant - you wouldn't think a book about flesh-eating plants could be so intriguing, but it is. You should enjoy it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on The Hunger Games; I really enjoyed the series, and will probably re-read it again soon.
A review? Hmmm... not quite sure yet. I may review Outlaw Platoon this week, or even I Am Legend, if I finish it in time. What about you?
Really well. :) I'll have a blog post up tomorrow listing all my current reads, but I've got a cool line-up. Some of the ones on my shelf include Outlaw Platoon (military non-fiction, highly recommended), Wages Of Spin (essays on historical/contemporary evangelicalism, highly recommended), and I Am Legend (classic and oft praised post-apocalyptic vampire novel, haven't started it yet).
How about you? :)
