I've read P&P so many times that I'm on my third hardback copy. The others have fallen apart from overuse. I can recite most of the lines from memory.

Has anyone seen "The Making of Jane," purportedly the story of Jane Austen's life? The movie trailer says that her novels were based on her own love life. If so, they'd all be about rich young men who were spirited away from her "alurements" by mamas who didn't want her in the family. I think we're talking major fictional license here.

A good set of books, and I was highly skeptical, is Pamela Aiden's trilogy. It's P&P from Darcy's viewpoint. Beautifully written and loyal to the story. Well worth reading.
