I am all about reading as much as I can! It seems like there are always more books than time. It started in grade school with a very long bus ride, and a lot of time to read on the bus, today it is much the same with a 2 hour train ride to work each way, I have some great reading time! What more could you ask for?

Have you read any of William Durbin's other books. You should check them out of the library. They young adult books about people of Finnish descent.

Maybe 2 or 3 times a week an hour before bed I read to them. Rick does it sometimes, but then if I am not around I have to read the chapters to catch up. Yesterday we went outside in the afternoon and I read to them. When we go camping I read to them by the fire. That is the same way all narnia books were read to them last year. It gets them in books they would never choose to read themselves. Because they appear too challenging.

I'm finding out that many people I know have read it..Mia gave it to her
dad years ago. I was "talking books" with a friend at a local wedding this Saturday and her daughter works in a Finnish community up in northern Minnesota and I'm going to loan her my book. Hope your summer is going well and
    your garden is growing well!

I just came across your review of my book The Scent of God and want to thank you. I find your list of books fascinating, and will add Harlan's Race (which I'd not heard of before) to my reading list. Thanks for the recommendation.

I would agree with you. Did you hear they are starting the movie for Angels this June with release in a year? I would love to see that.

Hi, Diane read Water for Elephants and gave it to me to read. It sounds like it should be a good. I haven't been putting my thoughts down for a while about a book. I need to get back to it.

I had noticed that one of the books I had on my shelf was getting more and more readers (Infidel). As a whim; I checked out who was reading it. Guess who was the first person at the top of the list? Someone I even know, you! I really did like the author as she seems like such a classy person. Intelligent without being condescending. Having a definite opinion yet respectful of others. I just do admire her.

I worked there for a little while one summer. I'm glad it's still around. Most of my other friends who own bookstores have been pushed out of business by the big chains.
