Cape Cod

“What a grand book. In my younger days I used to read Michener. Now I am going to read all Martins' books. It could have to do with the fact that it is about one of my favorite places and very close to where I grew up... but his mastery of the subject in all areas, geography, history, geology, sociology, etc. just render it so immediate and true! I loved it! ”

Things I Want My Daughters to Know

“Not what I expected from the title and/or book jacket. Really very little about what the main character wanted her daughters to know, and more about each of the daughters' coming to terms with themselves, the death of their mother, and the realization that no one is perfect. Just another ho-hum, mediocre book.”
