I have taught 31 years in the Austin public schools, and I am now moving to a position in the UTeach program at the University of Texas. I love teaching, but even more, I love reading. I have 5 fabulous grandchildren (four boys and one girl), and two beautiful daughters and sons-in-law. I have a world of great friends. I am truly blessed.

Hi, I saw your review on The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down. I would love it if you would join the cultural anthropology group and let us know what you thought about it under the discussion. Thanks. Here is the url for the group: http://www.shelfari.com/groups/23442/about

Hi, Gretchen! Hope you had a great Christmas! We went to vegas. Highly recommend a trip. Take in a Cirque du Soleil show if you can. They are all fabulous. We saw Mystere, Love, and Zumanity. Take care and have a great new year. Rhonda

Hi, luvtoread. I am a grade 3/4 teacher in New Hampshire, and I too love to read! We're buried in snow here now with bitter cold weather, but reading is getting me through the winter.
Have a wonderful 2008 filled with good books!

Thanks for recommending a great site for book lovers. Since summer institute last week, I have put 50 or so books on my shelf. Good luck at UT. Rhonda

Thank you so much for the recommendation. I hadn't even heard of Name All the Animals but the reviews compaired it to Lovely Bones and Dogs of Babel which I LOVED so I am putting it toward the top of my TBR list. I read Kate Atkinson's book and enjoyed it, hope you do as well. Thanks again.
