Sam and I decided to read it a few summers ago and neither of us liked it. The story was not very interesting to me.

I have heard a lot of good things about Pillars of Earth and I look forward to reading it. I am not sure when I will get to it though.

Yeah, it was pretty good. Tinkerbelle (Heather) and I went over to Cincinnati and met her at a book signing. It was so cool. Then a week after that, I went to a Nicholas Sparks signing. He did a lecture as well. Both were really down to earth. I had a blast. Have you ever been to a book signing? Have you ever read anything by Susan Wiggs? I am reading her Lakeshore Chronicles right now and they are pretty good. I would also recommend Kristin Hannah to you as well. She is beginning to become a favorite of mine as well. Talk to you soon.

    status: Read in February, 2009

Decadent Deceptions by Keta Diablo is a hot historical romance with a mystery rolled into it, which suits me perfectly as I love hot historical romances and mysteries. It entertained me from beginning to end.

For years, Morgan Gatewood has been in love with Olivia, his best friend's sister, and he would have made her his lover if her father hadn't found them together and ordered him to stay away from his daughter.

Even after his death, Olivia's father tries to control her. There's a codicil to his will which says that Olivia must marry within six months of his death in order to share in her full portion. The husband of her choosing must be free from scandal, financially sound, and a respected member of the gentry, or she will be dependent upon her brother’s benevolence.

Olivia needs to find a husband and thinks that Morgan has stayed away from her for far too long. She makes him take her to a brothel so she can choose her future husband based on the expertise of the men.

Morgan has not only got to keep Olivia out of trouble, but also save her from a murderer who has targeted her as his next victim.

There's plenty of chemistry between Morgan and Olivia and the erotic scenes are very well written. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did. Happy reading!

(Is there a story for Cain and Lark in the future?).

I belong to a book swapping place too. I put up ten old books and haven't checked the site for a while. I best do it.

I think you would like Forbidden. I can't tell you what a good writer she is. Plain, but every word counts.

Here's the deal on my name, pronounced KEE TA. My mother loved the name KATE and has a great sense of humor. When I was born, she decided to scramble the letters in Kate, thus Keta.

So many people mention my name. I really don't know what it means. One guy on Goodreads told me it meant "female cat" in some language. WOW! Now I'm a cat!

    Best, Keta
ps: I think I found Forbidden on here. Look for it. Helen Kirkman.

Have you read any of Lauren Willig, The Pink Carnation and the Masque of the Black Tulip?

They are really good romance/mysteries with very little sex and no explicit language. I really enjoyed them.

And I just finished "Forbidden" by Helen Kirkman. I think she might be an Australian or English writer (I forget). I thought it would be racy, but it wasn't and I loved it. She's such a good writer! Her sentenes and prose are perfect. A wealthy lady buys an indentured servant and again, there is little sex, but the chemistry between them Sizzles. It's sort of a murder/mystery too and historical.

Probably not with the books I write, but I enjoy a wide variety in my reading. I don't just read historical or erotica. I also love poetry and women's fiction, health books, lifestyle books, etc.

Thanks for friending me anyway. We can still be friends on Shelfari and discuss other books. I'm not looking for friends just to discuss my erotica books, but rather what people are reading, what they like, etc.

    Best, Keta
