So sorry for the slow reply. It has been a while since I check my shelfari. I enjoyed reading March. It's a slowly unwinding story and a bit sad but Geraldine Brooks is a fantastic writer. I just love her and the notion of writing about the father from Little Women was so intriguing I just could not resist reading it. Her writing about slavery and the underground railroad was very enlightening. I have always wanted to know more about that part of history and seeing it through the eyes of a fictional character was interesting. I hope they make a movie of this book. I would love to see that.Looking forward to hearing your thoughts as well.Barb
