I'm Lp Johnson - Author&Poet, Mother, Teacher, and Minister of Healing. A native of Chicago, Illinois who, (having an innate Wanderlust) has lived in several other cities and states - including my current residence in Oklahoma. But of course I always enjoy returning home to where family and lifelong friends are.
The love of books and reading have been in me all of my life, and writing has been my passion since I was able to connect letters to speech. Expressing my thoughts and sharing my ideas with others - first on paper and then by typing - grants the sense of being on a Journey that simply never ends. I've spent many years writing poems and short stories for friends, a few songs here and there which were honestly just given away. I also created several plays for holiday productions in church, some of which may actually make it to print if/when I come back to them. (smile)
"Nubian Sun: A Royal Wedding" was the first full length novel I began, and is the first of a 3 part series - the next of which I intend to make available near the end of Summer 2013
This self-publishing thing is an entirely new venture for me - and Oh am I finding a 'journey' here. So much to do, so much to learn. Yet rather than feel daunted, I am invigorated and looking forward already to my next project. If it has been my welcome pleasure to have you along for the trip, I am thrilled, and hope you will enjoy reading and sharing my humble offerings. All are invited to remain interactive and in touch.
