If you want to befriend me; please leave me a note - I'm otherwise inclined to decline.

Needless to say: I love reading! I read all sorts of literature, but my favorite genres are fantasy and historical books, also a bit of crime for relaxation and ... well, lots of children's books (I'm a childrens librarian and have two kids of my own... more »

Funny - a rather unusual vampirestory. Also a rather unususal lovestory... :-)

Read this for a book club discussion. I wouldn't have picked up on my own, but now I'm glad I read it. We had a good discussion. I doubt I'll read it again though, as the main character was whiney and obnoxious.

I really enjoyed reading this one, and was delighted when I heard a sequel was coming up. The Valley of the Horses bored me half to death, though, and the one after that was horrendous! So I see this book as one standing alone. Very interesting read.

Awesome book! A real heartwringer! I was hesitant getting started - the covertext didn't really haul me in (I'm embarresed to admit that it was Hosseini's portrait that got me buying the book). But a few pages in I was hooked and it just kept me on the line. I finished it just minutes ago and my heart is still stuck in my throat. So tough! I cannot even begin to understand the cruelty of people, and am in awe of the goodness some people can keep inside them despite everything.

    Oh, certainly worth reading!

One of mine and Nikolajs favorite read-aloud books. It's quite a tonguetwister tale - loads of fun to read! The pictures are colorfull and pleasant to look at. Trivia-knowledge: in danish the hoppameleon ends up being a 'øreøglepapepaddehoppemeleon' - try saying that three times in a row and fast! fun fun fun!

A tough read - I read it in three days the second time and it sat with me heavily during and afterwards. The things people do to eachother... Even people who really should know better. Well written, though it did seem to suddenly switch from psychological thriller to actual thriller in the end.

This one is more who-dunnit-like than the other Erast Fandorin-books. I really liked it though. I liked the different views from different characters. The pace is different in Akunin's books than any other author I've read - not slower, but different. The mind of Erast Fandorin is sharp and with brilliant deduction - I have my suspicions along the way as to 'who-diddit', and I wasn't completely off the mark :-) The ending was intriguing and pleased me endlessly. Very recommendable!
