It was a little confusing in the middle and you have to REALLY pay attention to little details and dates. But it was VERY good, especially at the end!
Definitely a book I'm going to add to my collection and read again!!

The last Harry Potter book left me needing nothing. It finished up the series in an amazing way and I felt completely satisfied at the ending!

Book number two of the Uglies Series is an amazing addition!! I loved every minute of Tally and Zane trying to "Stay Bubbly" and stay true to themselves. I can't wait to see how Tally gets out of her next little predicament with the Specials!

I LOVED this book. It was extremely well written and I'm sorry that I haven't read it before now!!!

Uglies is a story about Tally, a young girl who is about to come of age and step out of Uglyville, go under the knife, to be turned into a pretty and move into New Pretty Town. When Tally's new friend Shay runs away, Tally must follow her or be Ugly forever. But Tally finds out that there' so much more to the outside of her sheltered little city, and the ugly side to being pretty. Willy Tally betray her friend to live the life of a Pretty? Or will she give up the life she's always known and stay Ugly forever?

This book was hardly ANYTHING like the show. I had to completely separate the two in my mind so that I didn't get things confused. It was really good once you got over that though! I can't wait to read the next one!

I read this once when I was in high school but I don't think I ever finished it! I was a little disappointed that the plot they build up the whole first half of the book just kinda goes away in one chapter. All in all it's a wonderful book and I loved 95% of it!

  • Annie's Baby: The Diary of Anonymous, a Pregnant Teenager

Annie's Baby was OK. And I mean just OK. It was aimed at a teenager (that was when I got it too!) and it just flat out ended with no warning or anything, which I suppose makes sense cause it was a diary but it was still kind of a lame ending.

During the first two chapters I would have given this book probably one star, if even that! The first two chapters I didn't connect with the main character at all and even though she was newly widowed and was devestated over the loss of her husband, I didn't feel sad at all.
But after the first two chapters it got insanely better and I'm glad I stuck it out!

The story keeps you quite on your toes and you do end up getting the ending you hope for the whole time!!

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the 2nd book in the Harry Potter series. I found this one harder to get into than the others and I didn't find myself wanting to read as much as I did the other books.

Harry Potter is about a boy being raised by his Aunt and Uncle. Upon his 11th birthday he finds out that his life is not at all what he thought it was. He finds out he is a wizard and he has been accepted into the finest school of witchcraft and wizardry- Hogwarts.

Harry Potter also finds out that he's famous for defeating the darkest wizard of all time, Lord Voldemort, when he was only a year old, but not after the dark wizard killed both his parents.

Harry Potter is quick to make both friends and enemies, and even lands himself a spot on the house Quidditch team. With the help of his best friends, Hermonie and Ron, Harry unlocks some of the schools many hidden secrets and discovers much more about himself and Lord Voldemort than he could have ever imagined.

This was a great book. I love the innocence of Harry in this book. He shows so much bravery even in his early years!
