I loved it until the end.

I couldn't put it down. Yet it's hard to read something when you want to yell at the characters and hope that they make better choices than they do. It's a tragic love story.

I thought this book was brilliant. It was a super quick read but I found myself engrossed in Mirabelle's life the entire time.

I read Brideshead by recommendation from my mother. I love british lit and this book was no exception. This was my first Waugh and now I want to read everything she's ever written. Plus Sebastian's character reminds me so much of a person in my own life that I was hooked.

  • Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc
    • Rated 5 stars

I first read this in a humanities class in college and I was taken away with it. Not realizing that Mark Twain wrote it, I assumed is was a more modern take on the events of Joan's life. The book is packed with information yet it's written so well from Joan's perspective. Excellent.

Dante is my favorite poet. To those who have not read the entire (three parts) of the divine comedy are missing out.

I've read many of Dan Brown's novels and the Lost Symbol was by far my favorite. As a lover of history, especially of american government, this book was perfect. He outdid himself.
