Hi Retta,
I just joined my 1st group today NNBR. I saw your note about how you faint when you give blood. I haven't fainted yet..only because so far I've had ample time to let them know that I am about to. So... do they lay you on the ground with your head down and feet up and the ice pack behind your neck and on your chest? I haven't donated since my second (almost) freefall.I think/feel it may be too much of a possible danger for me.It's happened two times in a row now so I'm quite sure I will now listen to my body and do what it wants. It wants to keep every drop of blood inside me, yes thats exactly what it wants..most probaly because it needs it.If you dont mind me asking..do you have low blood pressure? I do.I read somewhere if you drink a lot of water and are well hydrated before the blood drive this will lessen the chance of passing out.Posted 3 years ago. ( send a note )
