Excellent. I ordered "Richard Yates" as well as Zachary German's "Eat When You Feel Sad" yesterday. They shipped today. I'm quite jealous of those guys. Tao Lin is only a few years older than me and he has 5 books to his name. Really shows that if you have talent and bust your butt, you can make it.
I feel so out of touch cause I don't think I'd heard of Tao Lin, other than seeing the cover to "Richard Yates" somewhere (maybe Dennis Cooper's blog). Anyway, it seems really interesting. I'm gonna try to procure a copy tomorrow while I'm out.
Wow, I love your blog link from Silence of the Lambs. One of my fave movies. I still can't look at that actor when he appears in another movie. I always hear him saying, "Put the lotion in the basket and rub it over your body."
Thanks for adding me. I'm off to check out your blog.
Have a wonderful weekend, Keta
Ha!I read the title "the book of disquiet" and i thought to myself: must read this, osunds good, must check it out. Then. I read here and realize it's Pessoa's book, which is my personal BIBLE. I didn't recognize the title because i've been reading it in Greek.
The Book of Disquiet is great... though it's best not to go too deep into it, since it can be quite pessimistic! But i found that, even with some distance, it's a beautiful read... i hope your translation is good, i had the pleasure of reading it in the original, and Fernando Pessoa's use of language is amazing!
