The smell of a library or a bookstore thrills me... always seaching for other perspectives to be gained. I use reading as an escape from the daily grind and also as a reminder of how terribly blessed I am to have what I have (including the TIME to read!).

    Back of the North Wind was one my mom read to me as a bedtime story. I remember enjoying it very much. If you like it you may also like The Princess & the Goblins and The PRincess & Curdie by MacDonald. You may also enjoy East by Edith Pattou (sp?)

    Oops, I see you've read the book I suggested. How about The Camel Bookmobile, probably by Masha Hamilton, or When Invisible Children Sing (see my shelf). Both set outside the US, one in Africa, one in S.A.
