Does anyone else remember as I do, going to the library in our elementary school and having to read our chosen books only in the library--not being able to check them out? I am a watermedia artist, retired academic librarian, returned Peace Corps Volunteer and book alterer who loves to read and is relishing having lots of time to do so. Favorite reading areas are biography, good novels written whenever, anthropology, history, history of science & geography. I am using the list, in part, to recall books that I have read over the years. I collect art books, especially ones of watermedia technique by such artists as Mary Todd Beam, Nita Leland, Maxine Masterfield, Edward Betts (who recently died), Alex Powers, Christopher Schink, Skip Lawrence, and Steve Quiller. They are a treat for learning and savoring. « less
