He passed away on May 17, 2008 at age 87. The funeral was held at Bibber Memorial Chapel in Kennebunk Maine. I was a graduate teaching assistant working on my Masters degree at the University of Illinois when I had the privledge of working with him. I only have wonderful memories of a wonderful teacher, great watercolor artist and the author of several books on watercolor that are still some of the best I have ever seen. He will be missed by so many.
