Liz Fielding

I've been reading since I was knee-high to a gnat. My mother taught me, the way she taught me all the good things in life. She read to me when I was little and then she bought me books of my own. Little Women, What Katy Did and Anne of Green Gables. I read them all until the covers fell off.

It was a habit I passed on to my own... more »

Hi Liz, Thanks for the tip on Carmel Carmarthenshire. We did find it. Not much there but some homes, but I got my picture taken by the town sign. Found a couple other Carmel's in the north, too...and a couple churches!

You may be happy to know that I didn't find one copy of your work in any bookstore in Hay. You're highly collectible!

Hi Liz. Thanks for the request. As for the picture, I'm not sure who the author is, I found the picture online and loved it. I'm probably breaking some rule by using it but....

You mentioned a book called Bread Alone, who's that by? I like it here in the Puget Sound area but we'll probably be moving in a few years, We have Kentucky in our sights but we want to wait until the kids are out of school. I'm trying to be patient. :o)

Denise's books are also edited out of London I believe. She's had her first two titles released by M&B and her next one is due out in November. Her website is www.denise-lynn.com if you're interested. I'll keep an eye open for your stuff, too...on the shelves here and in Hay!

You probably know Denise Lynn then. She's with Harl Historicals. She's a great friend too and my CP. I'm actually living in Ireland, which is why I asked about publishing over here. Has M&B picked you up? I don't usually read Harl or M&B unless they're people I know. Not because they don't publish good stuff. More so because I love longer reads. I'd love to find your books on the shelves here.

And yes, our day with Char was great too. She had some of her family with her. I took them down to Kinsale for the day then my husband met us after work in Cork City for dinner. I've known Char since we were both on the Compuserve Romance Forum a million years ago and have stayed in touch since then. Meeting her face to face for the first time this year was definitely a highlight to my year.

Charlene's one of my best pals. Just saw her when she came to Ireland recently. Really lovely woman and an awesome writer. We're going to be in the north for a week and are definitely seeing Beaumaris. I just think sending a post card home that says Carmel, or taking my picture in front of the town sign, would be funny to send home. Once I told my parents we were going to Boston for the weekend, then sent a picture home from Boston...County Clare. They loved the joke. I'm a little upset we missed California Scotland...it's between Stirling and Edinburgh. My Carmel is in California BTW. Anyway, are you publishing anything on this side of the pond? I don't remember seeing your work on the shelves over here...then again, it took more than five years to get Elizabeth Chadwick's books on the shelves too. Crazy!
