I just wanted to introduce all of my shelfari friends to my new character, Olena Day. So if you see a friend (In Love With A Younger Man) that you don't recognize I updated my shelfari profile and Sweet Georgia Brown is gone, but hopefully not forgotten. Thanks for staying supportive.

    Hello Literanista,

Thanks for adding me on as a friend. I look foward to seeing what books you'll be reading and finishing this summer season.

How is the Oscar Wao book? Does the book come well recommended?
I would be interested in hearing your views.

In the meanwhile, I wish you the very best this summer and hope it's a summer of your dreams come true.

    Fellow Shelfari Friend,

i recommend strongly you read:: How Wal-Mart is Destroying America. See
what your conclusions are , and then share your thoughts top other consumers. Here are my thoughts...( note: I try to be a fair, siomple minded, common sense person at all times. This book has me a tad perturbed, to say the least

    Here are my thoughts

Is anyone as Disgusted and Disturbed as I am after reading this book? I realize the author has a bit of a slant as he abhors WM, however it is downright scary.

Can this company be any worse for America?

    Where do we start?
Importing tons of CHEAP product from overseas
    Greedy
    Taking advantage of its workers
Beating its suppliers out of business for its own gain
Killing economies as they move into town.
Utilizing and taking advantage of government subsidies to get their "boxes" built.

So we all save 10 cents per box of popcorn or a gallon of cranberry juice.

This to me sums up how silly we the American people are. We are outsourcing America to death. Pretty soon there will be no jobs so we won t be able to shop anywhere.

Not to mention the service is awful.

We the public have the final say and we CHOOSE to shop where we want.

Will some peope read this and STILL shop there to save a few pennies?.. of course. however i think if most read this........ they ll choose to spend their dollars elsewhere.

Walmart is , in my opinion eating America up. We all need to wise up here. I don t know of a situation where monopolies are any good for the consumer. Do you??

    Thanks,
