“this book could be useful if you're new to skin health research. personally i happened to have already learned most of the information presented from other sources.
basically, dr perricone explains acne as an inflammatory condition and offers a triad solution to promote anti-inflammation in the body thru diet, supplements, & gentle exercise.
at times the scientific terminology was too heavy for me, leaving me confused. but if you can get past that, i think his bottom line is worth considering.
the three-tier solution dr perricone proposes is not gimmicky. it's really rather simple and straightforward. it was beneficial to know that he has posted the diet regimens on his website.
the diet plans are simple, healthy & accessible (salmon, oatmeal, antioxidant-rich fruits, water, etc.... ie, no obscure specialty foods.)
if youre having skin issues, i would first try an elimination diet. once you've identified any potential allergies or intolerances or sensitivities, then you could read this book and give dr perricone's diet a try.”
