I love relaxing and reading good books, going to book stores, coffee shops, open mic nights, drinking tea, dancing, writing poetry, working out, practicing yoga and just anything that is creative and deals with art for example pottery, painting, craft work. I believe in "living life to the fullest "without any regrets. Also, I have a passion... more »

I'm doing well, thank you. Nappily Ever After was "okay". Not my favorite, but I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the Prisoner's Wife. I just finished Something Like Beautiful and I am now reading Hair Story by Ayana Byrd and Lori Tharps. I'm not sure if I will continue reading this book because I think I know alot of the information already. Glad you are still enjoying your bookmark. I think they are just adorable! I see that you posted your last comment to me 2 months ago so you'll have to update me on what you are now reading.

You know, I never actually finished The Good House. I put it down about fifty pages in, because it was creeping me the heck out! Maybe one day I'll get back to it, though. I will read The Living Blood this summer, along with Push and The Book of Night Women and a whole heap of things I've been putting off until the end of the semester! I hope you are enjoying Blood Colony!!

Hello Lioness7 so good to hear from you. I only frequent np occasionally now. I have been incredibly busy. I have been working parti time and going back to school through an intense alternative teacher certification program. In addition my hubby is completing his last semester of his MBA so things have been unusually hectic. How are you coping with the new little one?

Lioness, how are ya?! I just finished The Living Blood and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think Tananarive Due is now my favorite author. lol. The story line is more complex than in My Soul To Keep, with many more sub-plots. But, it's full of suspense and excitement, and she has such a great imaganation and attention to detail that she creates a world that is totally believable and characters with whom you can relate and whom you grow to care about. TLB was quite a long and circuitous journey, well worth the 500 plus pages of twists and turns! I enjoyed every minute of it. TLB also examines the inevitability of greed and power, goodness, family, spirituality and whether Christians can really put their money where their mouths are. I'm going to start Blood Colony tonight.

As for lip wear, my favs are Sophisto lipstick (MAC) with Burgundy Lipliner (MAC), Popmode lipgloss (MAC), and Decorative lipgloss (MAC). Plant a Kiss lipstick (MAC) with Trance Plant lipgloss (MAC) is also very sexy! I think Plant a Kiss has been discontinued, but Trance Plant gloss even looks good alone. I luvs me some gloss and lipstick! lol.

Wow! Congrats on the new baby boy. I am not on NP as much now. I just had so much going on with two little ones. I am on shelfari more often. My little one just turned one so I now have a little more time to read than before. How are things being a new mommy? I hope all is well. I am reading thank goodness nothing spectacular just yet. But I just recieved my copy of The Autobiography of Malcom X, I am looking forward to getting into that one as soon as I finish my current book.

    Hi Lioness7.

Thanks for leaving the comment (about a year ago). I'm still learning about this shelfari thing and I keep forgetting about the notes feature. I loved the shopaholic series and actually series in general. I finished reading the Alphabet Mysteries (Sue Gafton) and now I'm on the Stephanie Plum series (Janet Evanovich). I love stories about quirky independent un-traditional women. I hope all is well.

I just wanted to introduce all of my shelfari friends to my new character, Olena Day. So if you see a friend (In Love With A Younger Man) that you don't recognize I updated my shelfari profile and Sweet Georgia Brown is gone, but hopefully not forgotten. Thanks for staying supportive.
