When you acquire the ability to read and write at the early age of three you have quite some time to do serious and less serious reading until you're 23. For the last 20 years I've been working my way through literature, taking a well-trodden, if somewhat boyish path.

My first books were crime stories for children. There is this... more »

Yeah Jon isn't trilled with "Interview with the Vampire" as a classic lol. I'll look up Jane Austen, I don't think I've heard of her. I did read some Mark Twain in highschool, but of course I don't remember it. But we did some plays in theatre and I thought they were really funny so I might try him again. Most of the books I read are YA, I don't read crime/mystery's, but my grandma and cousin LOVE Agatha Christy. My grandma has every book of hers in limited edition so she's got a shelf full of black leather books that look the same. Stephenie Meyers I think is the reason I got into reading so much. I don't read Harlequin romance novels, but I do read some that have romance in it.

You'd might like the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris. I love them, you might of heard about them since everyone is obsessed with True Blood now. The books are better I think. You should read "Kissed By An Angel" by Elizabeth Chandler. It's her trilogy put into one, it's a good romance to read. I really liked it and it made me cry. The "Vampire Kisses" series by Ellen Schreiber is a cute little romance, and the books are an easy read, I read each book within a day simply because I have no life lol.

I haven't read the Time Travelers Wife yet, but the movie was amazing.
Right now I'm reading "Interview With A Vampire". My hubby was telling me he was tired me of me not reading the classics so when i found Interview With A Vampire in the store I was like "I found my classic!" :]

    Hi,

I actually read Robin Hobb's 1st three trilogies a few years ago, and I enjoyed The Dragon Keeper so much (more than anything else I've read lately) that I'm planning to read them again. They're still some of my favourite books, and I look forward to getting reacquainted with Fitz, The Fool, Kettricken, etc. I wasn't keen on the Navarre trilogy though - gave up after the 1st book.
