“It took me forever to read this book! The Golden Compass was absolutely fantastic, and The Subtle Knife was great - until the end, which I thought was about as stupid as cliff-hangers could get. I'd all but lost interest in the trilogy when I forced myself through this one, which wasn't bad - but I've read much better.”
