Saw you were reading the Last Kingdom. This book is an excellent. What did you think? I am going to pick up the sequel as sonn as I can.
We have even MORE in common - dorkdom and geekdom! You might be interested in the Science Fiction Group. I have started a thread there about that genre's influence on ethics in scientific research and application. Not much response on the group but some on the referenced site I mention in the posting. The Science Fiction group is http://www.shelfari.com/groups/10013/aboutYou can read on the Dog Lovers group about my own history with dogs. A synopsis is that I usually have only rescues. Won't go into detail here since it is all written out on the group.Great with the exercise you are willing to give Huxley. Cesar Millan would be so proud of you! (Lots about him on the group too.)Again - welcome.DL
A miniature Aussie? I've never heard of that breed. My goodness. Aussies are the smartest breed known and are very energetic. I can only imagine all that intellect and energy combined in a small body! You must be exhausted by the Aussie. (smile)I'm currently a lab owner (3) and also have a beagle. Neither of these breeds are ever candidates for Canine Einstein awards but they are definitely lovable.I'm hoping that we do get more book discussions going. Recently, we've been inundated with the very young who are prone to chat-speak and nonsense posting. I've been busy with the delete button!Lookin' forward to hearing more about Huxley (a fan of SF are you?) and books about dogs that you recommend.DL
Welcome to Dog Lovers!Hope to hear of your own adventures with our canine friends.DLNote: My member name is purely coincidental. The group existed before I joined Shelfari.
Good! A non-twilighter. Thanks for adding me.
I saw that the read was Northanger Abbey, so I'm thinking maybe because it's so short and light...plus I already own it...but my stack is so high right now because everybody gave me books while I was in the hospital. We'll see if my industrious side wins over my laziness :)

You should. It would take you all of 20 minutes to read. You'll learn all about Title IX and the phrase "male chauvanist pig" in this great story!
I like that it says you live in "Ka, United States."Ka-ka!!
