Thanks! I'll check it out when I get a chance. My family is out here visiting so I really haven't been keeping up with things. I'll probably be catching up on Friday and will try to get it on the blog. Thanks so much!

Hi! You have a very nice shelf! Just thought I'd let you know how much I like your name. Lilliana is my daughter's name. Although I usually call her Princess Flower. Happy reading! :)

Hi there! I'm just dropping by to welcome you to The 100+ Book Challenge. The idea of the group is pretty much self explanatory - try to read 100 or more books in a one year period. If you do have any questions, please feel free to send a message to me or Tenia. In the meantime, good luck reaching your goal!

Hi Liliana -- I definitely enjoyed Arthur & George. It is literary/historical fiction and while I don't normally enjoy the device of a famous person as a character (in this case, Arthur Conan Doyle), it worked for me in this novel. It is slow-paced, but I was hooked by the mystery central to the plot: that is, who is behind the attacks. I also enjoyed the twist on the immigrant story--an Indian man in Scotland who, by virtue of his ethnicity, does not belong, but by virtue of his personality, could not exist anywhere else. The story flip-flops between the two men. You'll know after a short while if you will enjoy it. Julian Barnes, while under the radar in the US, is a great talent. I'd place him on the same ranking as Margaret Atwood, E.L. Doctorow, Alice Munro.
