I'm a freshman English teacher and speech team coach at my high school. My husband is also a teacher and drama director at his school. We are excited to be finally finished with our paperwork for our future adoption! Reading certainly helps me pass the time while we wait for our future daughter or son.

Hello Mrs. Mullane! It's Olivia. I was wondering if you had any ideas of where I can find some cuts for prose poetry next year, like any websites and such that I could check out.
    Thanks!

    Hello, this is Derek.

I umm... failed to get the summer reading assignment. If I'm still in Honors English is it possible to get that to me? By way such as sending it in a word document in my e-mail @ daedric@techemail.com

If not I can probably get it from a classmate... I just wanted to ask you first :/

Vampires, Witches & Were’s all that
would like to invite you to participate in the ABC contest starting on July 1, 2008.
I will post a thread that has the letters of the ABC's list, then start your own thread for example mine would be Sherry's ABC's and list the books that you read with those letters has the first letter in any title of book, it doesn't have to be in the genre either. Each person will be responsible for sending me their points via the group email at vampireswitchesweresallthat@yahoo.com. For every book you read during the time period (until the next letters are posted) you will receive 10 points in the email you must list the title, author, and pages so that if there is tie, we will use page count to break the tie. Everyone is eligible to win, even admin's as a third party will be keeping track of the points for me...so post the books you read...I will post the first letters on July 1.

    As always happy reading..
Show me the books he loves and I shall know the man
far better than through mortal friends.

Dear Lilbear: Best of luck with the adoption. A good friend just adopted his second daughter from China. Now that it's summer are you teaching summer school, or do you have some time off? I am very fortunate in that I just had my debut novel published. This after years of rejection. It's called HUNTING THE KING and it just came out in April. I think you'd like the main character, Molly O'Dwyer. Molly was five years old when she witnessed her mother's death in a fire. She never knew her father. After her mother's death, she was raised on the campus of a Jesuit college in Boston. Now an archaeologist, she is recruited to participate on a dig in war torn Iraq. As a scientist she is compelled to know who or what is buried under the sands of ancient Babylon. As a loyal Catholic, she is scared that what she finds may have devastating consequences for her faith. There is an awesome YouTube book trailer well worth watching to give you an idea of the power of the book. I hope you'll take the time to watch it and let me know your feelings. Thanks from a newcomer. Peter

I had a Norwegian Elkhound growing up, so of course, that is the kind of dog I wanted. My husband had a beagle and he insisted our first dog be a beagle. So we got him as a puppy from a breeder and now I am crazy about beagles. I do know that in the future, we will get our dogs from the shelter (not neccessarily beagles) as those dogs really need good homes.

Yes, Cam is my first dog as an adult and my first beagle. He truly is our baby. They are absolutely wonderful dogs - incredibly smart, funny, sweet. They way he tilts his head when he's trying to understand what I am saying just kills me. I wouldn't trade him for anything in the world. A good book about Beagle antics is called What the Dog Did. And to point out another thing we have in common, I, too, got married almost 5 years ago (as of this coming August).

Thanks! Ever since I got my beagle (Cam) 4.5 years ago, I have been crazy about beagles. So when I see other Shelfari people with dogs, especially beagles, as their pictures, I always look at their profile and shelves - I feel an affinity with other dog people.

I just finished typing the descriptions of the different things you can do for my project. It's posted on the discussion talking about the different projects people can do instead of mine.
Check it out! I hope it's what you needed.

That's kinda funny... I actually had been wanting to read the Great Gatsby for a long time. I also wanted to see the movie with Robert Redford from 1974... though I don't remember why I wanted to read it or see it...
Hmmm... so yeah... I'll be sure to read it eventually.

    Hey Mrs. Mullane, it's Olivia.
I need you to check out the new discussion on the group. It's called: Project: Chaos And Creation. I started it and now people think it's a really good idea--I need you to read it over so that I may be able to start this.
Just to let you know, I'll make sure that it won't take time out of anyone's learning of this play. It'll be short snippets here and there.
