I love to read and write, run and laugh, live and love. I am a passionate, engaged, vibrant, excited being on this planet. And I especially love to find quotations which express my passions in words much more eloquent than my own...

    Hi Natalya,
Thought you might enjoy these two quotes :) Hope you had a wonderful day!

Hey thanks. French?. Nope. In fact, sometimes I am shocked by how little I have read or seen of the non-indian, non-american, (and to an extend non-brit) world. Language of course is a factor, but being lazy and sticking with the known is indeed a big contributor too. When I read "You have to leave the city of your comfort ....", on your page, it just seemed to jump at me, even try to slap me :-).

For some time, my fav among my own collection has been a simple one from P.J. O'Rourke.

"Everybody wants to save the earth; nobody wants to help Mom do the dishes." :-)

Hello again. Your very welcome. I also love movies and try to watch when I can (at the theatres and on dvd). We definitely would love to hear your opionions on movies - we encourage it. BTW, love the quotes you picked on your profile page. I really like the Anne Morrow Lindbergh quote. Have a wonderful day and hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi,

Wecome to the Movie Lovers Group. Hope to see you as an active participant in the group; it's always great to hear from new voices. Just FYI, if your interested....last month's group movie was "The Lives of Others" and this month's group movie is "Miracle on 34th Street". If you've seen any one of them (or both) please feel free to post your comments. February's Movie Discussion will be on American Film Noir and we will discuss The Maltese Falcon with Humphrey Bogart. We also have a recurring thread "Movies You've Watched During the Month". Please feel free to post the movies you've seen on the small and big screen and your ratings.

    Have a wonderful day.

Hi Natalya. I enjoy your input on the BNW thread. Yes, complex issues, government, decisions, rights, etc are sometimes difficult to approach. I will say I wouldn't want my doctor, air traffic controller, or teacher etc legally on drugs. I think that would be a dark day for humanity. And yes, I didn't really start looking at life through different "lenses" and those of other people, till I was well into my 30's. Thanks for the input.
