    Hey Leanne,
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I've seen Sherrilyn Kenyon books in the library but never really knew what they were like - I thought typical chick lit which I don't read much, but maybe I'll have a go - thanks! Do you follow authors on fantastic fiction? This is a great site that I often refer to when I want to make sure I read books in order if it's a series.

I'd love to visit there sometime. I've lost track of my (first) cousins on my mom's side but I know that quite a few of them are Aussie citizens. Many of my second cousins are born there. On my other side of the family, I've one of my French cousins presently living in ... hmmm, where is she living now? (She keeps moving.) Let me look on Facebook. Huh! She may be in your city! Most of her posts are in French and I have to do some translations to figure it out. She had something about returning to Melbourne and traveling to places and something called Chom Chom being closed and someone else saying Noodle World on Bridge Road ... which, for all I know are in several different cities and countries.

That sounds like Houston. My cousin came over here from France and he claims to be able to get authentic cuisine from practically every part of the world here :)

Oh ... and I'm of Asian descent too. I'm sure you've seen a lot of my type around: I'm of Chinese Indonesian descent.

It was interesting moving from Kentucky to this part of Texas. I'd felt short in Kentucky where (at the time) most of the people are of British or Scandinavian descent. Houston is fairly cosmopolitan with a good mix but there are a lot more people of South American, Asian, or Amerindian heritages in this area. I'm only 5'-4" and sometimes feel positively gigantic.

Electrical engineering ... nice! He's probably a fairly smart kid :)

40's and 50's is still cold for him, especially if there's a brisk wind. Thank goodness about the snow.

Did he also come for the sports program?

My daughter has a classmate in the school of architecture (at UT Austin) that is a Kiwi and affording the tuition because she's on the rowing team. She's also around 6 ft. tall so she has quite a reach :) It's funny seeing them together since my daughter is around 5 ft.

Yup ... loads of Mexicans or Mexican descendants if it's from El Paso :D
My daughter goes to UT Austin.
You'd have a better chance of getting a "cowboy" there.

    That is so funny.
My daughter was wondering how she'd do if she went to live at a place that actually had a real winter.

Does the poor guy even have the right clothing?
The coats you can buy around here aren't "real" coats.
They don't insulate and the wrists/waists/etc. let in wind.

Does he know about the tricks like layering?
Does he have any gloves that the wind doesn't breeze on through or are water-tight?

Good for you....I know what your saying about customers...you have those few that you can work with then you have the ones that you just can't please that are pretty much expectations are to be waited on hand and foot...I'm still applying to law enforcement positions...something will turn up I hope :)
