I am 31 years old and a librarian from Michigan. Besides reading, my main hobby is playing Xbox 360 (gamertag Librarian09). I have been married 11 years and am mommy to two beautiful daughters (3 1/2 yrs. and a newborn)! I read mostly mysteries (I love historical ones set in England), and anything inspired by the life and works of Jane Austen.

Your avatar got my attention after I added the book I am reading "Cold and Pure and Very Dead" by Joanne Dobson. We seem to like a lot of the same books and I too love Jane Austen!
Just wanted to pop over and say hello!

I was so glad to see I CAPTURED THE CASTLE on your list. I had entirely forgotten that I had read this one! I got to mark it on my shelf, and now, hopefully, I won't forget again. That WAS a great read...

I too really liked THE LOST MEMOIRS. A big piece of that was Syrie James fleshed out Jane's friendship with Alethea Bigg (I just ADORE that I have the same name as one of Austen's real-life friends... :) I have MR. KNIGHTLEY'S DIARY as well, which I'm sure you saw. I enjoyed it, but I do have to admit that it doesn't stray much from the original, meaning it doesn't add much to the story. However, it was very comfortable and made for a nice, easy read.

I noticed that you added THE BRONTE PROJECT to your list of "Plan to Read." I don't think I've yet written my review of that one online, but I wanted to give you a heads-up that, though I enjoyed it, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I would recommend reading a blurb from it on Barnes & Noble.com before buying it. I wouldn't want you to be disappointed! :)

Very nice to meet you! I have a few diff't answers to your question about my fave Austen sequel/spinoff, depending on your preference. I LOVE LOVE Berdoll's sequels, just b/c I love a good, romantic, sexy story with damsels in distress and heroes riding in on horses... It's a fantasy P&P world. As far as sequels that are more true to Austen, all of Elizabeth Aston's books are just great. I also really got into JUST JANE. Simple, but explores Jane's true life. So those are my tops...but I am always reading new ones! If you have one in mind I don't have, please recommend it to me! :)
