Yes there have been several times when I have not read. I read all kinds of stories - from Paranormal Romance (a current favorite), YA fiction, to serious and... more »

Very well told story - a side that isn't talked about much but is very real.

Great Book! This should really be a classic.... was hard to understand in the first few pages.... but once the story got rolling it was captivating. A great way to see the other side of the Holocaust.... and how even German's were drastically affected by what the Nazi soldiers did to them and their towns. I think we forget about that part. Wish I would have ready this book in College during all my history classes to challenge the professors to teach us more about this side! I would recommend this to anyone!.

    A classic story!

As it is repeated several times throughout the story.... we can never forget. We can never let anyone forget the horrible things that happened during World War II. No matter where in the world you were living people of all races and creeds were having their lives changed.

All high schoolers should read this book to full understand the horrible things that happened. I would say all children but I think that the details of what happened to the people during the holocaust may be too graphic for the young!

Excellent Read..... i kept passing it over thinking that it wouldn't be that captivating but boy was I wrong!!!

This should become a classic read. We cannot ever forget our past and what people have been through, what we have put our own fellow american's through.

Being a Seattlelite this book hits close to home. I have enjoyed the Puyallup Fair Grounds every year since I was a child, and it is hardly mentioned the horrible atrocities that happened there. We must remember so that we never repeat the same things again!
