Thanks for your reply. My dog is lucky, but so am I! Have you ever heard of Nova Scotia Tolling Retrievers? They used to be called Little River Duck Dogs, which I think is much cuter. A friend told me about them when she saw our dog; they are like retrievers, but much smaller (like mine) . I think they're a cross between Goldens and some kind of spaniel. Sorry to take you away from your voracious reading with my long , non-book related queries! Happy reading!

I'm a fairly new Shelfari member, and a fellow Canadian. I noticed the picture of your dog, which looks A LOT like mine. We don't really know what breed(s) our Casper is, but he looks like a half-sized Golden Retriever , with beautiful crimped ears, and a delightful personality. We got him from the SPCA ( an unclaimed stray). Just wondering about yours......?? Oh, and of course I love reading , too. But I find this site quite addictive!
