Bibliophile goes whithout saying, obviously, since I'm here, and yet, I said it. Oh well. Things I devour: Horror & True Crime. Things I (generally) stay away from: Thrillers. Fave author: Stephen King. But other than that exception, I don't pick books by author. I pick them up if they're quirky, I pick them up if turns of phrase get me to turn the page, I pick them up if they're written in unusual forms, I pick them up if I hear them whisper my name from the bookshelf.
And to end in the famous words of abovementioned Mr. Marx: "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend; inside of a dog, it's too dark to read."
