I love to read! I favor mixed genres like romance, science-fiction, fantasy, suspense, thriller, supernatural, adventure, time-travel and many more. Books I'm fond of includes titles like time-travelling stories like Knight in Shining Armour by Jude Deveraux or books by Lynn Kurland. Stories with great adventures or stories that led me through... more »

For ten long years, McKenzie's been working for the fae Court alongside with the fae she's in love with, and whom she had spent ten years waiting for, but stubbornly refuses to break his oath to the kingdom. Then came a day where she was kidnapped by the rebels and learned that things aren't as black and white as it seems. The rebels are not the bad guys that the Court had always been telling her. Its the Court that has been using brutal and cruel methods, and she had been working for the wrong side all these years. As she get to learn more about her kidnappers, she started to feel something for the the rebel leader, Aren. 'Stockholm syndrome' is what she thought, but is it really? A choice will be made between the two persons she has feelings for, is it her first love that has been in her heart for these ten long years? Or will it be the fierce and tender rebel that has captured her body....and soul? Read the book to find out!

This book is pack with action, emotion and suspense. It really gets gritty with the details and characters in the book tend to die and got hurt, constantly. The heroine is stubborn, loyal to a fault and brave. A likable character. Can't wait for the next book. A pity though, that she has to choose her hero. Why can't it be a book where the heroine can be together with two guys! I like them both!

The story in the second half of the book is much better.

Okay, the book started out slow and continues throughout. The pace made me think of Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse series, but Sookie's story has much more characters in them and I needed a note book to keep up with who's who.

Anyway, the book is as its name suggest, LIFE as a zombie. It really goes into every detail about Angel's life and how it goes as a zombie; the problems, limitations and benefits. It was actually pretty dull but still interesting. It took me slightly more time to finish this book compared to my norm, but it's worth a read. This whole new perspective of a life as a zombie is definitely fresher and unique compared to the usual special half-breed descendants, werewolf, vampires, fae, or humans with supernatural abilities... Haha, pun intended.

I will read the second book once I manage to get a hold of it. Angel is actually a worthy character that shines more brightly as the story progresses. She would be great right from the start if she has better up-bringing and background. She works hard to make her life better when she was given a second chance and I respect her for that. I like her character and will continue following her story. Nice read.

P.S. Love the book cover! Gorgeous!

Love it! There's some new adventures at hell, deepening of the relationship between Hank and Charlie, sweet moments with Hank and Rex, and a nice closure for Bryn. Plus new adventures awaiting ahead. Can't wait for the next book!

Don't really like the way the author write the way the characters act inside. So typical and with a prim-anytime-I-see-a-hot-guy reflex, feels like the characters are those easy types of women. Not slutty exactly but too open and eager to get a date/guy...The romance inside also sucks. It's more of a flirty and irritating kind of almost romance but not. No possessiveness, no seriousness in their relationship, and most importantly, a lack of you-are-my-one-soul-mate kind of romance. It's like anyone can be the one whom they may develop a relationship with, there is a main character for the heroine but he sucks! The heroine is quite useless too. However, the conversations between the characters are actually very creative and funny. That's the only saving grace for this book actually, and also it contains paranormal stuffs like ghosts, demons, trolls...that sort of things. It's actually okay, just the romance and love in it is really really not to my taste.

As good as the first book. Charlie is one unique and special heroine, but her powers in the story can't really manifest in satisfying ways since she is still so new and unfamiliar with them. Lots of scenes with her ass being kicked! So annoying! I want more cool scenes, with lots of payback, especially to O.W! Then there are more bad stuffs happening to her family again, more parenting problems and a sort-of new-found flame that drives her crazy with fury and lust, and both of them doing stupid stuffs. All-in-all, exciting, action-packed and most important of all, the feeling of wanting to real the next book now!

Much better than I had expected. Almost made me think of Anita Blake from Laurell K. Hamilton, except that the paranormal level is much more obvious; the other off-world beings for hell-like and heaven-like places living openly in their world, the heroine has a kid, has a more shitty life than Anita, and success at payback to those to harm her and those she loves is so low, it's almost non-existence and so damn unsatisfying.
