Let me know what you think of Grace Is Enough. I had it checked out, then got a few I'd had on hold, so I turned it in.

I just checked the library holdings for Music of the Heart and discovered I've read both of those books! And loved them! Wish she'd write more.

Yes, I did read Michael's book. I never cared for him before reading that, but now I give him a lot of credit. And to Bill Gaither for standing by him and accepting him as he was. I'll have to see about Embraced by the Light. Have you read any Ted Dekker books? I haven't read all of them, but have liked the ones I have read, especially The Martyr's Song. Whew!
Well, enjoy reading the Bad Girls books when you can, and let me know what you think.

Hi Leila! Was thrilled to see you're reading some of the books I recommended! Just finished Martin's latest. It was depressing in parts (how could a person ever live through all that?), but I enjoyed it. I'm reading the Wivies of King David now. Just finished Abigail. They're good too. I also recommend Bad Girls of the Bible and the rest of that series. She can make me laugh out loud. Let me know what you think of them if you get a chance to read them. I'm not too familiar with Shelfari yet, but I'll try to keep up to date.
Oh! Have you read the Bill & Gloria Gaither ones on my list. Something Beautiful brought tears to my eyes several times! She's a beautiful writer.

Hi Leila, I would recommend 'Chronicles of Fairacre' to try 'Miss Read'. Its a unique read...might not be your cup of tea..I like them. And I would recommend the #1 Ladies Detective Agency too. Is there anything better than a good book?! I enjoy bio's too. Have a nice day!

Hi Leila, Just popping over to say hello! Have you ever read any of Miss Read's books? I'm reading one now..they are very charming in a slow way...sort of peacefully entertaining.

    Hi Leila,

Glad you liked the book! I actually had no idea where PIECES was going when I started...I knew the characters pretty well, and I knew the general concept of the story (twins becoming estranged and then reuniting as a result of Eve's illness), but I had no idea what the catalyst was going to be that drove the twins apart, and didn't know Kerry was going to help Eve die.

I always try to write my way into a book. I'm not one of those people who can come up with an outline and stick to it, I need the story to come organically.

But every writer works differently...I'd just say you should do what you find works best for you. If you can come up with a complete story idea, beginning, middle and end, then kudos to you! There are definitely people who can work that way successfully. I'm just not capable of doing that myself...If I wrote that way, I think it would come out sounding forced.

    Good luck!
