I attended university for a few years. I am degree-less. I had to drop out for personal reasons, and 5 years later, I'm struggling to get back into university. Until then, I'm working as a Mental Health Technician at the local crisis stabilization center, where I am learning more and more about the health field, which I still doubt I'll ever enter completely; I never liked doctors or hospitals in my life! It's incredibly off the wall that I even applied for the job, but I've been there a year, and I love it.
I call myself a book-whore. I'd rather read than party, which, to my friends, is unfortunate. But I don't mind. When we go to the beach, I'm the only one that doesn't get wet. My personal thoughts on oceans are that they are the world's largest toilets. It's pretty gross, but, to each their own!
The latest motto I've been putting into use in my life is "Feel the fear, but do it anyway." I read that somewhere, I don't remember where. But, I've been putting it to use, and I've started to learn and have a richer life thanks to it. Who knows what my next motto will be? We shall see. . .
My tastes, according to my friends are odd and eclectic, but they love me anyways. My best friend gave me a book for my birthday last year, to read during the summer that I spent with her. It was "Mine are Spectacular!" A very strange choice for a book for me. I told her that it wasn't my kind of reading, but I'd read it anyways. She still hasn't convinced me that it is a good book, but I put it on my shelf nevertheless. She's a great friend, the best I'll ever have!
I AM very picky about the books I like to read, but I also listen to suggestions. Right now, I'm reading some Lovecraft stories, which my fiance's coworker, Gabo, advised me to read. I heard of Lovecraft, but never read his work. I'm in debt to Gabo now, I believe I've been hooked!
