I have been an avid reader since I was four, when I used to read to my little brother. During kindergarten, I got to... more »

I laughed whe I read your review of Fast Food Nation. It broke my heart to give up McDonald's french fries, but I did it. That was quite the book, I thought. My friend who works for Oscar Meyer (or whoever owns them now) thinks Schlosser is a crackpot, but I sure don't.

hey! thanks for the invite! I see you're a "non-recovering" book-a-holic too! I go for quality over quantity which is why I don't have alot of books on my shelf (yet), but give me time! I've put soooo many titles on my Wish List since joining that i'm going to have to start reading several at a time...hmmm....don't know how I'm going to work my boyfriend into the mix...oh well! I'd rather have a good book anyway! (just kidding, I think?!?!)
anyway...what did you think of The Secret? I'm soooo glad that this info has become "the latest". I was brought up on these concepts (so why ain't I rich??? must meditate on this...) It's so helpful to know that you're where you are because of choices that YOU'VE MADE! How empowering!!!
thanks again for stopping by my page! have a great day!! --Claire

Thanks for adding me!! I really like your shelf! It is always great to meet new people even more so when you have something in common, not just "reading" but the authors themselves! Hope to read some of your reviews soon. I still have a lot to work on with my own!!

One time, I was reading a hardcover SK book (and for the life of me, I can't remember which one), that had a HUGE pic of him on the back cover -- a head shot that took up the whole back cover. I fell aslep reading it, lying down on my bed, and when I woke up I was staring right at him!

that was the worst I've ever been freaked out by a Stephen King book! =)

Great shelves! It's always nice to meet another Stephen King fan. What's your favorite King book? I like The Body and The Stand. =)
