I am a 42 year old army wife. I have 4 grown kids and 6 grandchildren. I love to read and really don't read any particular genre. I think the most attractive thing I can see in a person is the love of books.

I belong to a wonderful book swap site www.frugalreader.com. I hope that you'll take a few minutes to check us out. ... more »

I read this as a child and adult. I was surprised at what I missed when I re-read it.

This book is really a keeper. The story was fresh and entertaining and the characters were alive.

From page 1 through page 759 I was brought in to Harry's hopes, fears, losses, and pain. Harry, Ron, and Hermione had a mission one that was wraught with danger. They stood up to the challenge doing what was needed to bring down the evil around them.

They were the hope of both the wizzard and muggle communities. Never knowing who was friend and who was foe they went forth to do what needed to be done while their world being attacked.

Inner demons and doubts arose continuously making it harder and harder for Harry to follow the path that was set down for him. He feared that he would fail because of these doubts that made him unsure of what exactly he should be doing.

Loved ones died making the mission all the more urgent. He not only had to do what needed to be done for the community but needed to stop the evil before there could be more losses.

When Harry finds the truth behind his mission, he knows despite the pain he must do what needs to be done. Alone he went forward as few men would ever have had the courage to do.

In this final novel, questions are answered and characters come together. Friends are foes and foes are friends taking the reader deeper and deeper into Harry's world.

I think it had the potential to be a lot better than it was. I usually really like Luanne Rice but this one fell short of her usual. I believe it is a re-issue of her first novel.

I found it a really good read. I don't think I'd call it an award winner but still enjoyable.

It was very moving. It isn't a light read but one that makes the reader run the gambit of emotions.

It was so funny! The humor was very female and very adult. It might cause a bit of embarrassment when read in mixed company and they ask what is so funny.

For a debut novel, it was very good. There were a few areas of the story that dragged for me slightly, but soon Noel brought the story back where it needed to be.

The characters were very real. I felt as if I truely knew them and could sympathize with how Angie's Bi-polar disorder affected them all.

I would recommend the novel to anyone that enjoys a heavier read.
