I hope you will take the time to view my YouTube book trailer at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-t0K34iU6g. I am doing some research about potential characters to play the lead role in the upcoming movie. Hope you can help me out. As Ralph Eggleston Director/Production Designer of Pixar Animation Studios said,
"I LOVED the book! It's a missing, ENDLESSLY fascinating link to the history of Hollywood. Thank you for researching and writing it!! I hope it's been widely well received, as it deserves to be." Best wishes. Gaelyn

I don't know if you've read this but Pablo Neruda's Memoirs is an interesting read. Very political/social/historical. Congratulations on being a newlywed. I've been married 7 years and I'm still a newlywed!

I love Tom Petty! My shelf has mostly classic fiction but you might like some! I recommend Anne Lamotte for modern fiction.

The book club is an all woman club. We meet every other month at someones home. The hostess picks the book and serves the meal (usually dinner). Often the meal goes along with the book theme. Then at least once a year we do a field trip that pertains to a book. This year we read China Boy, went to the Crocker museum to see a Chinese Art display and then went out to eat at P F Chang's.

I liked The Lovely Bones a lot too. Haven't read Lucky yet - I'll have to put that on my list.
I read She's Come Undone before I Know This Much is True. They both deal with a lot of the same themes and the tragedies and ironies of life. The first is shorter and maybe an easier read. Maybe you should read that one first and see if you like it.

Hello! I generally list the books I'm currently reading on my reading list, and it's pretty bare right now. I'm listening to a Tony Hillerman mystery whose title escapes mee, and I'm reading a fluffy little murder myster set in the Sanu Juan Islands - Death on a Casual Friday. I should be finishing a reread of Middlemarch, but I've lost my momentum. Cormac McCarthy's The Road is waiting on the shelf, also Don DeLillo's Falling Man.

No, I haven't heard of that one, but it sounds good - was it? Both Wally Lamb books that I've read were super! There is so much tragedy in his characters' lives, yet they grow from it and come out okay.
