“As usual, Rowling is out of this world. Her writing is like a gastronomic extravaganza, leaves you feeling replete and yet sad you couldn't have more. But with the last book I was left with a trace of discontent: I feel she could have turned the conceptual framework of the narrative inside-out -- there was that much scope and yet she stuck to the linear structure of good vs bad with a few forays into minor shades of gray. I also did not like the 19-year leap forward, like a cinematic potboiler (only another Indian would understand how bored-to-death we are of that!). Could have been spared that whole happy-family, healthy-wholesome-parenting dream, I think. But on the other hand, it is rather sweet and endearing. So ... what the heck, I am a Potter-fan, whether it is Harry or his brood, who cares!!!”
