Better than Looking for Alaska, in my opinion.

Very descriptive and imaginative. Appeals to senses. Makes me want to appreciate the goodness of life. True story.

*Yes, I suck at writing reviews.

If you loved the Bristol-set TV series Skins, you’ll appreciate Apples by Richard Milward. The book is narrated by different characters, but most of them are by an extrovert “loser” Adam and the stunning and reckless Eve. “Scenes [of shocking violence, alcohol and drug-intake, sex and hookups] are carried off with such impulsivity and so little emotional connection or gravity, that it is hard to take them seriously or perceive them as grounded in the plot (Bookslut review)”. “Accusations of immorality may be targeted at it, but what it conveys so compellingly is the amorality of adolescence, the lawlessness-cum-schizophrenia that allows one to be half-naive, half-knowing, sensitive and callous, endearing and repulsive all at the same time (The Times UK)”.

I can't write a decent review at the moment, but I am planning to do what Stargirl did in this book such as having a "mood wagon" and imagine stories about strangers at the mall.

I finished this book in three days. Yes, three days. It would've been two if I weren't too "moved." See, after the chapter "The End," I was really affected by Bella & Edward's break-up. It was just too awful! Even thought I dislike Bella (that dumb ho), I felt sympathy after Edward left her. I can really feel the bleakness in her life. :[

I have never been "moved" by a fictional break-up before. Never have I felt so miserable regarding a fictional teenage vampire love story. Tsk.

Sure, criticize Meyer's literary "genius" all you want. I don't think she's all that good either, but I must admit: Edward & Bella's break-up was moving.

I thought it was moving because I was shallow and stupid. Yes, this is me editing this three years after writing this. Hello, folks.

LOL I WROTE THIS THREE YEARS AGO. ONLY *SLIGHTLY* ASHAMED. I felt bad for Bella since Edward was her life and that bitch just left her in the woods, OK? I'd be miserable is my exboyfriend left me in the woods too.
