Hi there. I am a friendly lady vampire who likes to meet new friends and enjoys reading. Especially paranormal romance. Is that a great category or what? I'm a big fan. But I do like to read a little of everything. After all, there are so many authors, and too many books. Way too little time in my lifetime to read all I would like to with all the new books and authors being discovered all the time.
Some people ask me how I got into Paranormal Romance. Well, actually I got into paranormal movies first and then decided to try books. My very first two PR books were Laurell K Hamilton's books "The Laughing Corpse" and "The Lunatic Cafe". Needless to say, I went back the next day to get the other books I was missing which were only two. I had discovered LKH when her series had basically started out which was good for me. From her books I moved off to explore many different authors. I now have a favorites list a mile long. It definitely makes trips to the bookstore hard. How can a person chose a few books among so many great stories just begging to be read? Well the answer to that is patience actually. All good books come to she/he who waits and bids her/his time. And libraries, thank goodness for them. Of course once you've read a great story, you might want to keep it. Then it's hard to give back. The librarians near me always keep a wary eye on me now. They know. It's an instinct I think. But in all seriousness I do give the books back. I want others to enjoy the same books I do.
And if we have books in common, then great! Add me and let's talk! I love finding new books and authors. Also, I have a blog that I post to now and then. It's mainly book contests so if your interested, visit http://ladyvampire2u.blogspot.com and enter to win a book or two.
I am also a proud member of www.paperbackswap.com. A great community where you can swap books online for only the price of postage. If you join please put my name down as the person who recommended you and don’t forget to add me as a buddy so we can talk there too.
