LadyCunegonde

"Life is the moment we're living right now". That is a quote from my latest favorite book. "The Alchemist". It is about a boy's adventure to find his treasure and what he learns on the way. I love travel, good books, good positive energy and thought provoking conversation. I love living, walking, and dining in NYC. I love the vibe, energy and... more »

Public Notes

  • A. Michaelson

    A. Michaelson says

    Hi, LadyCunegonde. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view. A story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. I’m including here the publisher's notes from Amazon.com. Let me know what you think. The honor would be mine.

    Book Description
    Caleb, an elderly Jew, leaves the safety of his home in Cana on a mission to find a man he believes is in Jerusalem. Miriam, Caleb’s only remaining child, accompanies him disguised as a boy. In the desolation of the war struck Galilean countryside, father and daughter risk their lives to journey south on the Jordan River trail. As they walk, Caleb intrigues Miriam with a captivating story of his youth that will change her future destiny. A story of a time forty years prior when he became a sandal maker in order to observe a man some called the Miracle Worker. Caleb secretly kept notes of the events he saw and heard as he followed the crowds. With his objective, skeptical point of view, he reveals the fascinating ministry of the one he called the “Master.” Heart pounding perils and the threat of death endanger the two travelers, but nothing could foretell the fate awaiting them in Jerusalem!

    From the Publisher
    A. Michaelson's new novel, The Sandal Maker, takes the reader on a fascinating journey back to the year 70 A.D. in worn torn Palestine. The author creatively weaves two stories together, one in the present, the other in the past. Heartwarming, enlightening and tragic, The Sandal Maker paints a portrait of one man's life and his involvement in how the gospel came to be.

    The Ancient One says

    A Joyful Song Of Five
    Katherine Mansfield

    Come, let us all sing very high
    And all sing very loud
    And keep on singing in the street
    Until there's quite a crowd;

    And keep on singing in the house
    And up and down the stairs;
    Then underneath the furniture
    Let's all play Polar bears;

    And crawl about with doormats on,
    And growl and howl and squeak,
    Then in the garden let us fly
    And play at hid and seek;

    And "Here we gather Nuts and May,"
    "I wrote a Letter" too,
    "Here we go round the Mulberry Bush,"
    "The Child who lost its shoe";

    And every game we ever played.
    And then--to stay alive--
    Let's end with lots of Birthday Cake
    Because to-day you're five.

    I am the Moon everywhere and nowhere.
    Do not seek me outside;
    I abide in your very life.
    Everybody calls you towards himself;
    I invite you nowhere except to yourself.

    Come onboard at once!
    Let me sail this boat!

    The Reformer says

    As I gaze into your eyes I can see the beauty of your spirit and soul

    I can tell behind the beauty there have been days that have taken a toll

    You are a strong Queen and your passions are very great

    There are some lonely moments when you don't sleep and stay up late

    Your love for God is great, and your faith is like a tree by the shore

    Don't give up beautiful lady, God has great things for you in store

    The eyes don't lie, I can see heaven in you like a looking glass

    So relax and pray tomorrow as you roll around in the grass

    He heard your cry and He already heard you from on high

    Don't fret pretty lady because the eyes of God do not lie

    Hi Lady:

    How is the book "Black Like Me"? Didn't Grace Halsell do the same thing back in the 1960s and spent time in Jackson, Mississippi during the civil rights movement?
