    Hey LC ;) Go you! I find it hard sometimes to balance my time between reading and Shelfari...so I don't know how you do it!

    I'm not a member of the Midnight Breed forum, though I lurk from time to time. I just saw your nick and I somehow knew it had to be you. Too much of a coincidence :)
    I'm still in the afterglow of Pleasure Unbound (Demonica Book 1). I can't wait to read Desire Unchained. What did you think about those? I think it's the closest I've read to something as good as J.R. Ward in terms of strong narrative! (here I go again with the BDB comparisons. I just can't help it lol)

    ooooooooooo 4 day work weeks are fabulous ! So you will be able to get all those nice lovely book series read !

    I wondering if it is a bad thing to use old encyclopedias for bookends.. My mother has a set she has been trying to fost off on me for about about 6 months. I am thinking to use them & a few of the books that I don't want anymore & make them into bookends. I am going to need them when this is done. LoL chica I don't mind your teasing, you should know this by now !

    lol I am wondering though if having tbr piles & tbr lists is not a symptom of OCD or a new type of book mania ! But I refuse to feel guilty or want help for it !

    I am watching Colditz today.. Then onto the Lost Symbol by Dan Brown .. I am almost done.. !

    I'm the same way. If they don't appeal to me I won't read them.

    Speculation can be fun until you find out what really happens... but I wanna know what really happens now! I am so excited for the next one I can't wait for it to come out!

    I haven't gotten far, just enough to know that Belle Morte sent a vamp to their area. Oh no!

    I'm about ready to head out for the desert as we speak. Have a great weekend with whatever you decide to do!

    ugh... I hate those bleached hussies ! May they all drown in their sweat ! I think that is better than being boiled in their own pudding lol

    I will but I worry by nature.. I am surprised I don't have ulcers.. lol But I will send pics as soon as they are up !

    Yes, this is true.. I feel sorry for the ones who have nothing to read.. oh wait that is me sometimes ! LOL.. Skimpy lists make me a little nervous like I have missed something.

    I agree.. The wait is sometimes worth it.. But I don't know if it is the anticipation of the book or the actual book sometimes..

    But still chica.. that was a most ambitious undertaking.. All those series !

    Enjoy those long weekends girl ! YOu have seriously earned them. So kick back put your feet up and enjoy !

    Yup, plenty of time. I have never done one of those books of the month things before. It was fun!

    You know he could be. He was undercover and we don't know his true assignment. Maybe he was to investigate the vampires or maybe once he didn't land the job he was to investigate Jane. Maybe we will find out in the next one. Yes, I just hope it doesn't spell disaster for the poor girl if they do know. Since skinwalkers and vampires are mortal enemies. Okay, immortal. Ha.

    AH! Olaf! Man, I need to get my read on! I started the next one. I can never spell it. Something C Sins. Ha. Maybe after my morning coffee I can. I'm excited to move on. I read Taken last night by Jet Mykles. OMG, was that hot!

    I started Anita and had no problem. It may not have been the paranormal, it may have been starting a new book. Sometimes I get bogged down, and I think it is a mild reading funk. That should all be cured tomorrow. We are going 4 wheeling in the desert with Jeremy's mom. Thank goodness we aren't doing work for her again. Finally, something fun!

    How are you? It's been SUCH a long time since I've last spoken to you or even been on Shelfari.

    This time, too, it's going to be really short. Sorry.

    I just wanted to let you know that in between my frantic studying and other things, I managed to read "The Immortal Highlander" by KMM. Adam's book was pretty good. I can't believe he chose to become a human. True love and all that, yes, but he used to look down upon humans.
    I was all the more surprised when I saw Darroc in that book. Looks like KMM used a few characters from her Highlander series in her Fever series.

    Anyhow, I have go overnight camping this weekend. Yay! Fun but I'll be dead after Sunday.

    So, have you finished ABVH yet?

    No not really..I am not the end all beat all handy man ! lol.. I am going to try to get this done ! lol

    Wow.. you really have a book list ! I was rather disappointed by my skimpy list that I made last night . But I have an idea of where I need to be reading wise in the next 3 weeks ! YaY I am getting organized ! Of course no where near your standard but pretty good for me !

    I don't know.. Some authors are churning out 2 books in three months but the ones that are really good YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOREVER ! Not fair ! lol

    I can't believe that you are getting all these read ! That is just marvelous ! You are looking at completing 3 major series by the end of the year.. ! That is tremendous undertaking.. You need to pat yourself on the back for that chica !

    yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Tash gets long weekends !!! So dear friend what are you going to do with your time off?? Shopping? Shelf Building?? Maybe a little light reading thown in for good measure?? lol

    I know. Although the saying, it is better to give than to receive seems to be ignored on holidays here.

    Well not really like it, but the writing style. The switching between characters. It was great to see what was going on in each head.

    I agree, it was good and I can't wait for the next one. I hate waiting. lol

    I was hoping the same for Leo and Jane, but I agree, it will take time. I don't know about Rick either. But he seemed to be more annoying than anyone else while under cover. Well, not really annoying, but always got in the way. I am curious to see if they do figure out what Jane really is. Rick got close to seeing, cat run in and out, Jane run in. Hmmm. lol

    Edward! I love him! I'm kinda sad he and Anita didn't get together (or if they did, don't tell me). I do think they would be great for each other.

    I'm having a little trouble getting back into the paranormal kick. I finished Child of Darkness and haven't picked anything up but contemporary romances.

    Last post you sent you were going to that Book Fair thing... How'd you get on? You get tonnes and tonnes. I haven't brought a new book in ages. No point until I read the pile I have in the attic. Dreamfever I did buy a few weeks ago.

    So any news, gossip? I know you're busy with work. I get that... I've been up the walls later. Need a holiday.. LOL.. Looking forward to Xmas Holidays, is that sad! Wishing my life away with looking to future holidays..

    How's Marissa keeping? Still as crazy as ever no doubt!! Anywho, promise I'll do better and reply...

    hehehe well there are just some people who are upbeat & happy .. I always think that they were cheerleaders in high school or in some past life :)

    I was thinking the chocolate too because brackets have small hooks on them to hang things, like planters (even though I have the black thumb of death when it comes to plants) lights or other things. But I do love green.. I might go with the lighter boards but with the chocolate brackets.

    That is true.. plus you like to read different series together, not one book in a series after another. The Bloodring was just so much.. I need a break from the whole world destruction theme.. So I am waiting before I pick up Seraphs & read it.. Blaze of Memory came out yesterday. I will probably read that after Fire, get back to the shifter theme :)

    OMG a whole year to wait for the next book !! OMG I will reread the On the Edge but I am waiting lol.. December yes, December I will reread it lol

    Four years ago if someone had told me I would be so consumed by my reading schedule like I am now, I would have told them to consult a therapist ! lol.. I have always loved to read but I am way ahead of where once was.. Now I hate to go a day without something to read.. ugh.. lol.. Fabulous books will be the death me !!

    Well I won't insist on being jealous but I will be very quiet about it lol

    I look up LKH for the Merry books & I think the next Anita book is Flirt? coming out in March?

    ::shakes head:: You go chica lol.. That is alot of books to get thru ! The Lynsay Sands & the Lora Leigh just by themselves have alot books out.. Hats off to ya chica ! You got a ton of reading to do ! lol.. Now you see why I am envious ??? I am scraping trying to find books lol

    Oh good lord ! Well I hope that you day goes better with less stress.. Don't worry about the small stuff.. I am just getting up & midway thru my first cup of coffee lol. Email forthcoming !

    LOL You know I will tell you chica ! I think Bloodring was her first novel, plus it was the first in the series so there is alot of backstory.. Some parts the writing is more in the heroines head that I am used too but it helps understand the story a bit more. I think all in all a good book ! Seraphs is next then the Host is after that.. My library has Seraphs & I am going to pick it up tomorrow with Fire & Lost Symbol. But it is going to be a while before I read Seraphs.. I kinda need a break from the heavy religious tone. lol But I am reading Lost Symbol next so I am not going too far lol

    I agree I am totally hooked too on the urban fantasy ! OMG I almost forgot Ilona Andrews has a rough first chapter of the next Edge novel on her blog. OMG ! lol

    Oh come on ! I can be jealous of your tbr lol.. It is totally awe inspiring lol..

    I think you are very understandable ! You are better at conveying your thoughts than I.

    More Anita huh? How many do you have left now? 4? LOL I don't know ! I don't know whose turn it is lol.. I will send one in the morning or later tonight !

    Well chica, I thank you most sincerely for the vote of confidence lol.. Because I have none at the moment.. I need a drill. Looks like I am going back to Lowes ! lol But you are right.. I have a thought on where I want shelves next.. Well if I need more shelves... lol

    Fun ! I reread the short story in Strange Brew.. It was pretty good. Most of the Faith Hunter's books are set in NC, about 2 hrs from where I live so that is so much fun. Spruce Pine is a little town north of Asheville..I am about 100 pages into Bloodring & it is good.. I wouldn't rush to get it..But so far it is good. There is a sequel called Seraphs. I am really enjoying the Urban Fantasy books !

    I thought I might have problems finding something to read lol.. Right about now I am most jealous of your tbr pile lol

    Your English is very good ! Much better than mine & it is my native tongue too ! But then we tend to butcher english in the south with our lazy speech lol

    We do that sometimes, but some of my family get upset when they only get one present. Sigh.

    Well, it is about her daughter, but the Queen still plays a big part in it. Have you ever read lord of the rings? It's kind of like that. It starts out in the Queens 3rd person then goes to her daughter then to her advisor and then to her lover. It sounds confusing now but it isn't, you just get more of a look into several peoples heads.

    Okay, now that you are done... what I thought she could do without was the 2 second phone calls that weren't story progressive. "You opened the box" click. What?! Of course she did, I read it. Just that small stuff.

    Favorite male character? Hmmm... I liked Troll just because of all the stuff that happened between him and Jane. I did like Leo. I'm not sure who my favorite is, it may take the second book to push someone above the rest. Who was yours?

    I think after the Child of Darkness I will pick up another Anita too.

    I have never been a big fan of Christmas. I like the idea of exchanging gifts, but once it's at the point that is the most important part I have a problem. I don't know. I don't know why I must buy everyone several gifts just to make them happy when I'm so broke as is.

    You know, I was actually thinking about cleaning out my closet and using that. I really don't have enough clothes to fill it so I could use the other half as shelving too.

    I'm halfway through the second book and I want to strangle the Queen now. I can't wait for you to read this so I can complain about her. lol

    There was a lot of information and at first I thought it was too much, but I do believe it is building something for later, so yes, it is good to have that there for later.

    ya I mean they're a good series but they get kinda annoying sometimes! I wont give anything away..but I still read them cuz I wanna know whats gonna happen LOL so its good that they're on your list, but its not like you should rush to read them..

    LOL yup...its like a problem..really I can't go into a book store without buying aleast 2 or more books!! LOL :)

    I am going to make them myself. I have the brackets already now I just need to boards lol.. Its not going to be as fancy as the other shelf because I just don't have the space for another one that size lol.. even though I would love one !!

    Well I think is great too that you take the time & want to read them in the originally text that they are meant. I think you are right that there is alot lost in translation. But some of it I think is the books written in America have alot of pop culture references or sayings that may not translate at all.

    I have Bloodring coming in at the library.. it has been shipped.. I liked the short story in Strange Brew. It was interesting & a nice start to the series. I will see about picking up Skin Walker but I think it will be a while.. I have Fire, Bloodring & Lost Symbol coming from the library plus I want Fade Out & Blaze of Memory. Fun never stops ! & here I thought I would have a problem finding books to read for the next two months lol NOT !!!!!!!!!!!

    Everything else went great. Even took my pumpkin to put on the street corner and everything. But I am glad it's over. LOL

    I have a room full of books, it just isn't a pretty sight. My dad made me some shelves and they are all full. I have books three deep on my shelves. So it does make it a little difficult to go back and find something, but the books piled on the floor next to the bookshelf need to get their own space.

    Thanks! I was sad, we had to throw it away last night. He got moldy fast. Ew!!

    I was wrong. I got a couple Maya Banks books (which the ones I have read are fantastic) but the book, Lisa's Gift was written by MacKenzie McKade. First book by her and gotta say I loved it.

    We ended up not going to his mom's, thankfully. She didn't show up at church so we went to lunch, which my little sister ended up going to the same place and eating with us and then we went back to Jeremy's. I read all day long. Oh, it was great! I finished Lisa's gift right after and then started Queene of Light. I couldn't put the book down! I finished it last night in time to go to bed.

    Yay! I do hope you like it.
