Kya

My name is Kassandra, but to many I am known as Kya. I love to read and write. I have a deep love of random cute things and adore spending time dreaming up delightful characters for children’s books. But do not let my love of sweet things fool you, my favourite characters are usually those that are dark, complicated and hold a hunger for what is... more »

This book was slow to begin with and I was beginning to doubt that it was for me. However I persisted and found it was a story that was truly captured in a way that only few writers are able to master. Take an event, place it in the hands of an amateur and it will seem like a foolish fable, but allow the hands of a master to nurture and allow for growth and you will find a wholly remarkable and realistic tale that keeps your mind active with thought.

Although this book was aimed at a younger audience I really found something touching about the story. At times I wished it could have gone deeper and explored the true darkness of human nature, the brutality and sickness that do so befall some men. But I was of course reminded this is a book for a younger audience, but even so I believe it has a story that does not linger on age. I do not want to place the hopes of readers too high, I would not claim this was a literary masterpiece, but for my current stage of growth in life I was ready to read it. You can only read it and decide for yourself.

I was excited to read this book and was hoping for a lot. I would have been happy if it had of gone on for 900 pages and in a way I wish it could have. I really wanted more, to explore more of the characters and everything in this wonderful world/multiple universes that Douglas created. That is not to say I didn't like this book, I loved it. I just loved the series that much, I wish it could never end.

When I first heard about this book I knew it was one that I had to read. I had great expectations and I am pleased to say it lived up to them. When I enjoy a good book I tend to read it very fast because I am unable to put it down, and this was the case with The White Tiger. I found myself so engaged in the story that was unfolding. Like any good writer it takes you to that place of the character and allows you to see the world in his eyes.

This book is wonderful I love it. Not only does it show children that all living beings in the world 'poop' but that they are all related and the same. I believe even if the book seems to have a simplistic meaning that is does far more by allowing children to see that everything can have a unified source.

This book is very cute. It has a collection of images and words that follow and match to educate the growing minds of children.
