I just started it but it seems like a book I will like. I originally bought The Promise at a book sale then saw that Chosen was written first so I decided to read that one first.

Yes! I read the first two Harry Potter books within week (that's with my teaching job, grad school, and 3 kids)! The stories are good...they are suspenseful, draw on details, and have twists in the plot. There are a few spots I cringe because the something mentioned or talked about strikes me as against Christianity...but I know I am reading them as fantasy stories and good ones at that!

I'm so glad you found my profile! I looked through your bookshelf and it was like De ja vu (spelling?). I mean, you and I have so many books in common...and there are a ton on your shelf that I own, but haven't read yet! It's great!

A Moveable Feast will probably be a quick read for you...for me it took awhile because I had to keep back tracking to figure out what he was talking about! I think if you have uninterrupted time it would flow better...I had to read it in small chunks of time...it was one of those books where I kept thinking "this is wierd" while I was reading it but when I was done I realized that I really liked it!

I was thinking of picking "Girl with a Pearl Earring" for one of our book club reads so don't read it yet!!! I've had it sitting in my "pile" for awhile! I saw it was in your "plan to read" shelf...

Holy Cow...you've added alot more books since the last time I looked at your shelf! What a cool idea to create a separate shelf for your family!
