I will read just about anything. If someone recommends a book, most likely I will head straight to the store, buy it, and finish it within the week.

I love reading because it's like a movie that you make in your imagination. I can go anywhere through books, even places that don't exist! They are a portal to another place where I can... more »

Thank you so much for joining the special group I've created for my book, The Newton Prophecies! I hope you will come and read about the book and all the fun and intriguing facts, theories, and hypothesis that went into writing it!

Please come ask questions and tell your friends to come do the same. I am looking forward to answering them. Writing this book was a lot of fun, I enjoyed the research tremendously. I cannot wait to read what you thought of the book. If you haven't read it yet I do have a limited number of ARCs still available at 50% off MSRP. If you live in the United States you'll pay just $7.50 plus $2.00 shipping for a signed trade paperback. The final edition will be available this holiday season (November) in both trade paperback and hardcover.

Again, I'd like to thank you for joining The Newton Prophecies group... See you soon! =)

We're just closing out the discussion on The Newton Prophecies and I was wondering if you ever got to reading it? If you didn't like it I'm sorry to have let you down. That said, I would really like to know what it was about the book that turned you off. Any input would be much appreciated.

    Thank you! =)

Hi Kree: Yes we were living on base at the Kaneohe Marine Corp Air Station. We didn't have heating or cooling in our apartment as very seldom did we ever need it. The first thing I noticed when we went there (back in the 60's) were the amount of cars on the island. It is so beautiful there and I envy you. The last few days it has been in the high 90's here so again we are in for a hot and miserable summer. Bless the person who invented air-conditioning. This morning I started reading John Grisham's new novel "The Appeal." I really wish I could find another book like "A Thousand Splendid Suns." I'm hoping the author is writing a new novel. Enjoy your day and I will be chatting with you later. Ruth

    Hi Kree,
I agree with Ruth. I liked A thousand splendid suns even more then the wonderful Kite Runner. If you finished the 6 books you're reading now ( + ofcourse A thousand splendid suns) I would recommend 'So you want to be a wizard' . It's a little slow reading in the beginning, but it's a brilliant book a little further in the story. Hope you will like it as much as I did! Keep on reading! Greetings, Monique

Hi Kree: Thank you for inviting me to be your friend. I see how much you liked "The Kite Runner" as I did. I even loved more "A Thousand Splended Suns" by the same author, one of my all-time favorites. What island are you on? In the 60's (a lifetime ago..ha) my husband was stationed at the Marine base on Oahu and I loved Hawaii, especially the weather. Here in Tempe (by Phoenix) in the summer you feel as if your brain is baking. Thank you again Kree.
