I like reading everything, but right now I'm big into Sci-fi. Also, british authors usually top my favorite's list. I consider Great Britain to be an... more »

Please just start a discussion you can head it broad post if you like but please it is your group I just post what the members ask for and keep it ticking over for you all. Have you enjoyed the read? Hi!

The Minneapolis-St.Paul-Minnesota Group recently hit 100 members, so we're kicking off a 100-Member Celebration! Details are available on the group site. Hint: It involves a drawing for some gift certificates, and participation is required in order to be eligible for the drawing :-) Come celebrate with us!

Also, we've announced that our summer group read will be Leif Enger's newest book: So Brave, Young and Handsome. I'm reading this book right now and will have the discussion thread up by next week. The thread will be available for discussion this entire summer.

    Hi!

If you are receiving this note, then you are a member of the Minneapolis-St.Paul-Minnesota Group. I just wanted to let our group members know that the discussion thread for the April/May 2009 Group Read – Growing An Inch by Stanley Gordon West – has been posted. I just finished this book myself. I enjoyed it thoroughly and am looking forward to the group discussion. I hope you are able to join us.

Also, we are currently voting for our next group read – which will be for the June-July-August timeframe. Please stop by and vote for your preferred books for the group read by Saturday, April 25.

Hi, your avatar caught my eye as I was considering reading Watchmen. Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite movie, but not many people know of it. Watchmen looks really good, I really want to read it. I'm a senior in high school so currently I'm applying to colleges. What influenced your decision to go to St. Paul?

Hi Kay-Tea: The Sonoran desert is especially beautiful at this time of year, having benefitted from moisture brought by the annual monsoon rains.

My yard bristles with several varieties of cactus, altho' no saguaros, which are abundant in the wild, some as tall as 40' and weighing several tons.

Kay-Tea: You might be able to find the name of that author on The Colbert Report by sorting through this list:

    HI Kay-tea,
I love his films too, fantastic. Which is your favourite? I have mostly read the Astrix books in English but while I was learning French at school and on French exchanges I read them in French too - luckily they are not too hard to understand in French!

Hi Kay-Tea, I saw your recent post to YA so I checked out your profile. I am very interested in discovering good lit in YA and children titles. Would warmly welcome your opinions. Glad you're here. Peace, z

Apocalypse 2012, yeah it's pretty good, not as absorbing as the Pinchbeck, but much easier to get through. Appraoch Gaia Project 2012 with caution. And lots of patience.
