An avid reader of romance, history and the paranormal, I tend to combine the three in my writings. Lost in the Mist of Time was inspired with a trip to Ireland where my brothers and I enjoyed its charming beauty, along with its interesting history and legends. One of our more unusual tours we took was to St. Michan’s Church, founded in 1095. For five hundreds years, it was the only parish in Dublin, north of the River Liffey. The main attraction lies in the vaults underneath the church where four mummified remains are on display. No one knows the identity of these four people that were worthy to be buried on such sacred grounds. I found that it would be an intriguing prospect to weave a tale around an added inhabitant, bringing him back to life so to speak. It would be his story about how he lived, and loved; however, it would be with a twist: a chance to change his fate.

The layers of time are delicate; sometimes the past intertwines with the future, making it possible to slip through… I have always been intrigued with the possibility of being able to reach back in time and change the past. Common sense says influencing the past is impossible, but I can't help but wonder: what if I can?
