Hola! What a pleasure to meet you. My heart goes out to you on your devastating loss. I too have a lost a sister and it was/is absolutely life shattering. If you ever want to talk please feel free to send me a private message. I see that you live in Dalton. I think I have been there once.
Your shelf is interesting- I think I'm gonna cop a couple of Jen Lancaster books. I love humorous stories. Well, I'm off to check out your blog.
Hi Kaye - I am so incredibly sorry about the passing of your sister. I can't even imagine the pain you must be going through :( Just awful. I am sure she is at peace though.
I am on FB - look me up :) I am not on there a whole lot right now - with FTE and everything going on - but I check it maybe once or 2x a week.
I just finished reading Beastly. It will soon be a movie with Vanessa Hudgins as the lead female character. Great book - easy read - a modern take on Beauty and the Beast. It was very enjoyable. I just started the 4th book in the Demonica series (Larissa Ione) - now THIS is a FANTASTIC series. I am thoroughly enjoying these boys :) I have put Storm Born on my list to be read. I just love Richelle Mead though. Great author and really engaging books. Can't wait to read it :)
Take care of yourself. Again - I am so sorry about the passing of your sister. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. TTYL.
Oh My - totally busy with FTE and Student Record. Killing me softly :) I have been reading though - mostly quick moments here and there. I finished a couple over the past couple of week and bought several new ones as well. I am reading the 4th (i think it is #4) in the Alyssa Day series the Warriors of Poseidon. I just love, love, love these guys. Similar to the Black Dagger Brotherhood - but with some twists and a lot of humor and hotness to boot :) You totally should pick up one. So what are you reading? Any good stuff lately?
I just finished Don of the Dead. I liked it , it reminded me of two other series I have read that you might like. Charlaine Harris's Real Murders-Aroura TeaGarden Mystery, and her Shakespeare's Landlord-The First Lily Bard Mystery. Now, I need to get to Halfway to the Grave, I am sure I am going to like it.
I'm trying to keep up with my reading. I've been slow about it. I'm still reading chicklit and some contemporary fiction. I'm reading Tomato Girl right now and so far I'm enjoying it. I think it's on your WL??? I'm also downloading a bunch of stuff from the library so I can "read" in the car.
Is your sister actually being treated at Duke or are her doctors back home just following the treatment outlined by Duke? How much longer does she have to go with the treatment?
